Chimera Venture Capital has launched a $10 million fund focused on the gaming sector in India and broader Asia. The Bengaluru-based firm aims to support new and bold game developers, studios, and tech platforms building the future of gaming.

Led by Krish Anurag, Yashmit Kedia, and Mohit Mohan, the team wants to back creative founders early, before the trends catch on.

ChimeraVC invests in many different parts of the gaming world, like game studios, platforms, tools, AR/VR, Web3, and creator networks. Their goal is to find and support great ideas very early, before they become popular or well-known.

Startups can expect $150,000 as an initial cheque, with potential follow-up investments between $500,000 and $700,000 for select breakout teams. The firm plans to fund four to six standout startups over several years.

Their first investment had gone to Qila Games, a hybrid-casual studio founded in 2024 by Dhananjai Hari and Neeraj Mishra. The $1 million round back in March 2025, led by ChimeraVC, also saw participation from Visceral Capital, Atrium Angels, Ventana Ventures, and more.

Qila Games launched Ludo Hero in February 2025, adding strategic and social twists to the classic board game. The game is currently in beta.
