  • March of Empires officially transitions to Unreal Engine 5.
  • Update brings sharper visuals, faster updates, and improved performance.

Gameloft’s medieval war strategy game March of Empires is entering a brand-new era with a full transition to Unreal Engine 5. After years of running on older tech, the developers have officially moved the game to Unreal Engine 5, bringing a major visual and technical boost.

With UE5 now powering the game, players can expect more detailed 3D environments and smoother in-game battles. While the overall gameplay and mechanics remain familiar, the backend changes mean updates and new features can now roll out up to three times faster than before.

March of Empires: War Games lets you build your empire, join alliances, and fight for power in a shared world. This engine upgrade doesn’t change that, it just makes everything run better and look nicer.

To make things more fun, the developers have hidden a redeem code in their video and are hosting a big giveaway on their official Discord. So if you’re thinking of jumping back in, now’s a great time to do it.

With smoother performance, sharper visuals, and faster updates now possible thanks to this new engine, the world of March of Empires is stepping into a much more immersive and technically advanced era.
