The transition marks the end of a 16-year run for co-founder Joshua Yguado, who has stepped down as CEO. Yguado will remain involved with the company as a board member, supporting the leadership transition and future direction.
Jam City, known for titles such as Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, Disney Emoji Blitz, Cookie Jam, and Panda Pop, has grown into one of the leading mobile game companies globally, reaching over one billion players and generating more than $4 billion in revenue under Yguado’s leadership.
Chul-min Sim takes over at a time when the company is looking to build on its existing portfolio and pipeline. In his statement, Sim said, “Jam City has an incredible portfolio of games and beloved brands, powered by talented teams and loved by players around the world. I’m excited to join the team and help lead the company into its next chapter.”
Reflecting on his journey, Joshua Yguado said, “After 16 years co-founding and building Jam City, I’ve decided it’s the right moment to step down as CEO.” He highlighted the company’s growth and partnerships over the years, adding, “I’m proud of what we built, and even more proud of the team behind it.”
Jam City’s next phase will focus on strengthening its existing portfolio while continuing to invest in long-term growth.
