Savvy Games Group and Roblox have announced a new partnership aimed at supporting Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing gaming ecosystem through education, creator development, and local industry expansion.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Savvy will help Roblox strengthen its operational presence in the region while supporting Saudi-based developers through localized training, technical assistance, and community-building initiatives.
The partnership will also leverage Roblox’s Creator Hub and educational tools to provide workshops, competitions, and learning resources for aspiring creators. A major focus of the collaboration is education and youth development.
The companies plan to work closely with schools, creators, and parents as part of Savvy’s broader initiatives with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education. This includes supporting developers in creating playable games based on concepts submitted during a nationwide competition that reportedly saw participation from more than 700,000 high school students.
The partnership will also include efforts around digital literacy, online safety, and parental guidance materials tailored for the Saudi market. The Saudi Vision 2030 is in Full Flow
This is not the first time Savvy Games Group has actively pushed initiatives aimed at strengthening Saudi Arabia’s gaming ecosystem. Over the past year, the company has signed multiple partnerships and MoUs across gaming, education, and creative technology sectors.
Last year in July, Savvy partnered with gaming services provider Side to support its expansion into Saudi Arabia and establish a Riyadh-based studio focused on co-development services for MENA developers. Earlier this year, Savvy also signed an MoU with NEOM to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s gaming startup pipeline and streamline support for local studios.
The company has additionally partnered with VFX studio NMBRS to expand creative and technical capabilities within the Kingdom, while also working with educational institutions and the Ministry of Education on curriculum integration, teacher upskilling, and nationwide game development initiatives.
Savvy has also remained active in the industry on the acquisition side of things as well. Late last year, reports suggested ByteDance was exploring a potential sale of MOONTON Games, with Savvy Games Group emerging, which ultimately went through for $6 billion in March this year.
