Fragbite Group has sold its French studio, Playdigious, to the international venture fund Griffin Gaming Partners for $12.2 million (€10.5 million/SEK 115 million). The deal was completed on a cash-free, debt-free basis and was finalized on the same day it was signed, October 8, 2025.
The buyer takes over Playdigious’ assets and publishing rights, while Fragbite Group keeps 90% of net revenue from a set of PC titles now under Playdigious Originals, including Fretless – The Wrath of Riffson, Crown Gambit, Linkito, and The Almost Gone.
Fragbite, then known as FunRock AB, acquired Playdigious in 2021 for $5.4 million (€5 million) through a combination of cash and shares. Calling Playdigious a“successful investment”, Stefan Tengvall, the CEO of Fragbite Group, expressed pride in the Playdigious team.

“We have always been very proud of the Playdigious team, and I want to thank all team members for being such a positive part of the group these years. I believe Playdigious will continue to grow together with the highly knowledgeable team at Griffin Gaming Partners and wish them the best of luck in future endeavours,” says Stefan Tengvall.
If you play indie ports on mobile, you probably know Playdigious’ work. The studio, based in Paris, Montpellier and Nancy, has in-house porting skills and a reputation for bringing high-quality indie and retro titles to mobile, PC and consoles since its founding in 2015.
Fragbite said the sale was a strategic decision to improve its financial strength and support future plans, such as growing its FunRock business unit and developing its Bitcoin Treasury project.
Even though Playdigious made up about 77% of Fragbite’s revenue in 2024, the company believes it can achieve self-sustaining growth within the next 6–12 months. More information about its new strategy and financial outlook will be shared in the upcoming Q3 2025 report.
