GDEV has officially acquired Light Hour Games, a new Cyprus-based studio, into its growing family of creators. This new team is led by Konstantin Mitrofanov (formerly Belka Games) and Ilya Nikitin (formerly MY.GAMES), both veterans in mobile gaming.

What makes Light Hour Games different is that they’re building their games using AI-first development workflows, meaning they use artificial intelligence to speed up and enhance the game creation process.

With a compact 20-person team, this lean team is using a bold AI-first approach to game development, automating everything from design to live operations.

Their first project is already in the works: Tile Match, an emotional tile-matching mobile game that combines classic casual gameplay with deep storytelling. It’s set for a soft launch this October.

“Light Hour Games fits our vision perfectly – lean, talented, and driven by innovation,” said Andrey Fadeev, CEO of GDEV. “We believe in backing great creators with the freedom and support they need to make something unforgettable.”

Konstantin Mitrofanov, CEO of Light Hour Games, added: “Joining GDEV gives us the best of both worlds: the resources to dream big, and the freedom to build the game we believe in. We can’t wait to share it with players.”

As part of this new partnership, GDEV is offering full funding, access to data and publishing support. In return, Light Hour Games keeps full creative control and a share in the success of their games.

With AI, heart, and GDEV’s support, Light Hour Games is ready to bring something special to the mobile screens.
