Earlier this week, something unexpected popped up on LinkedIn, and it wasn’t any career update or venture story. Instead, it was a heartfelt, yet cute plea by a 14-year-old boy who wrote to help his mom get hired by Supercell.

Writing from his dad, Rafael Roman’s, LinkedIn account to post about his mom, Bruna Scopel, Augusto’s post was a request for a job at Supercell, the company behind his favourite game, Brawl Stars. In the very post, he cheekily plants a request to buff Edgar, an Epic Brawler in the game.

With some help from his dad, Augusto launched a sweet, funny, and creative website called Hire My Mom to pitch her profile.

Mentioning Bruna as an “super creative, hardworking, and coolest mom” ever, Augusto boasts her marketing and technology abilities with eight years of experience, whose app has over 100,000 app downloads.

“She’s also really good at working with other people. Everyone always says she’s a team player, which I think means she shares her snacks at work,” Augusto wrote on the website.

He also throws in a few promises if Supercell gives her a shot, including keeping his room clean, doing homework before playing Brawl Stars, and, of course, only complaining a little if Edgar gets nerfed again.

It’s not every day you see a job pitch like this, and the LinkedIn post is already catching the attention of professionals. Whether or not Supercell reacts to this, Augusto’s request is surely sharing a lot of smiles.
