SuperGaming, one of India’s top gaming studios, has raised $15 million in Series B funding to expand globally and improve its tech platforms. The company has received backing from major names like Skycatcher, Bandai Namco 021 Fund, a16z Speedrun, Polygon Ventures, and more.
The Pune-based developer is now valued at $100 million as this new funding will help SuperGaming bring Indus Battle Royale to international players, starting with Latin America, through a partnership with LOUD.GG.
The game, which won Google Play’s “Best Made in India” award in 2024, has already hit over 9 million downloads. You can expect even more content and global features coming soon.
At the heart of this growth is SuperPlatform, a cloud-based tech platform built with Google Cloud. It helps game makers build large multiplayer games, especially in markets with lower-end devices. With tools for AI, monetization, and live service support, it’s designed to support both Web2 and Web3 gaming.
SuperGaming is also continuing its Web3 journey with its own Superchain, working on features like digital ownership and cross-game progression in titles like Silly Royale. CEO Roby John says this funding will help India shift from just being a gaming audience to becoming a hub of innovation.
He further adds: “Indus Battle Royale is just our beginning. It is a showcase of quality and scale that we can achieve. But our deeper mission is to empower the gaming ecosystem through SuperPlatform. We’re providing developers worldwide with the tech backbone to bring their most ambitious visions to life, including seamless integration of Web3.”
