  • Initiative aims to connect education and esports while supporting student discipline and creativity.

MOONTON Games, the studio behind Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, has teamed up with Esports Integrated (ESI) to launch the Guru Juara MOONTON Masterclass in Malaysia.

This new program is designed to train primary school teachers with digital skills and creative methods to use games as a learning tool, especially in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). It will be held on 29 and 30 September 2025.

The program is supported by the Selangor State Public Library Corporation (PPAS) and Selangor state primary school teachers. The launch was announced at Sri Putra Hall, the home of MPL Malaysia’s upcoming Season 16, where MOONTON recently revealed a new “enhanced franchise format” for its esports league starting next season.

Through half-day workshops, teachers will gain hands-on experience in two key areas. The first focuses on digital game competition management, teaching them how to organize school-level training and tournaments while building a healthy esports culture.

The second introduces TinkerCad, a 3D design tool that helps students learn creativity and design skills linked to STEM education. Teachers completing the workshop will receive an official certificate co-signed by MOONTON Games and ESI.

Deon Moh, Head of Publishing Strategy Alignment at MOONTON Games, said: “The Guru Juara MOONTON Masterclass represents our long-term commitment to responsible digital literacy and youth development. By equipping teachers with the right tools and knowledge, we are enabling educators to connect better with their students while preparing the next generation to thrive in a tech-driven world.”

Ahmed Faris Amir, Chief Executive Officer of Impact Integrated expressed full support to MOONTON and added, “Why I think Guru Juara is amazing is because we are doing it through and with the teachers. The best way to get to our school students and to make sure that they are disciplined, that they’re healthy, is to speak to the educators.”

This recognition allows them to nominate student teams for upcoming competitions, including the Selangor State Under-12 MLBB Tournament happening this December. The initiative is seen as a big step in connecting education with esports, with the registration open on the official website till 19th September 2025.
