Nintendo has taken another big step in its global expansion by opening a new office in Singapore. The company announced that Nintendo Singapore Pte. Ltd. was officially established on September 26, 2025.
This establishment of a local entity follows the company’s aim of accelerating its business to connect more closely with local players. This new entity is fully owned by Nintendo and has a capital of $6.2 million (8 million SGD/Singapore Dollar).
Takahiro Miura will serve the role of the Managing Director of Nintendo Singapore. The company already operates subsidiaries like Nintendo of America, Nintendo of Europe, and Nintendo Australia.
In Asia, it runs Nintendo of Korea, which has seen both restructuring and growth in recent years under Takahiro Miura since he became the CEO in 2018, and Nintendo Taiwan Co., Ltd., re-established in 2025 to handle sales in Greater China alongside Nintendo (Hong Kong) Limited.
With Singapore now added to the list, Nintendo is aiming to accelerate business across Southeast Asia, one of the fastest-growing gaming markets in the world.
The company also revealed that it is considering opening a similar local entity in Thailand, signalling even bigger plans for the region in the near future.
