PlaySafe ID has officially announced on Friday that it has raised $1.12 million in a recent funding round. The London-based company, which is focused on making online games safer, will speed up its work to protect gamers from cheaters, bots, and harmful players following the funding.
The funding comes from Early Game Ventures, Hartmann Capital, and Overwolf. PlaySafe ID wants to help game developers follow important safety rules and build games where players feel safe and fair play is guaranteed.
With this new support, PlaySafe ID plans to grow its technology and form new partnerships that will push the gaming world towards a better, safer future. The company prepares for a big launch and aims to reach over 250,000 users in the next few months.
Andrew Wailes, the CEO of PlaySafe ID, shared: “Gaming should be a place that we can all enjoy. We are doing our best to bring the missing element to ensure that gaming is protected. Having the support of such amazing people really is a dream.”
PlaySafe ID was born with the idea of “making gaming more fun for everyone”. Andrew mentions growing up watching games evolve since the early ’90s and has always loved how they’ve changed. Seeing more cheating and hacking lately inspired him to create a way to keep games fair for everyone.
