Team Vitality Expands in Southeast Asia with Bigetron Esports Acquisition

Team Vitality has officially acquired Bigetron Esports, one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent esports organizations, known for its achievements in PUBG Mobile and as a founding member of MOONTON GAMES‘ Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s MPL Indonesia.

Founded in 2017 by Edwin Chia, Bigetron Esports has built a formidable presence with over 6.8 million followers across social media and competitive rosters in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Honor of Kings.

The organization also developed a highly successful women’s MLBB team, which Team Vitality acquired in May 2024.

Under the new partnership, Bigetron Esports will rebrand as ‘Bigetron by Vitality’, preserving its strong local identity while integrating into Team Vitality’s global network. Edwin Chia, CEO of Bigetron Esports, will continue to lead the mobile gaming division alongside Team Vitality’s leadership team.

So you don’t want to disrupt that DNA or that tone of voice or how they communicate with them.”
