Zoe Studios has closed an angel investment round as it looks to bring chess to the global mobile gaming community by making it fun and accessible.
The studio’s investor lineup includes several prominent names from the global gaming industry, such as Brice Laville Saint-Martin, John Wright, Phil Mansell, Dilpesh Parmer, Simon Hade, Maxime Demeure, Juha Paananen, and Carolin Krenzer.
In a post on LinkedIn, Zoe Studios’ Co-Founder and CEO Danielle Chen shared her excitement about what lies ahead for the studio. “We’re building something truly special: a category defining product, a vibrant and growing community, and a new way for millions to enjoy this timeless, evergreen game as part of their daily lives. And this raise gives us even more momentum to make that vision real.”

Further emphasizing the milestone, Chen added, “This moment is a huge step forward for our team and our vision. I’m incredibly proud to welcome a group of world-class leaders and investors from across the gaming industry who believe deeply in what we’re building. Their support is not just funding, it’s a powerful validation of our mission to create a fresh, fun, and brilliantly modern casual chess experience for players everywhere.”
Currently, ZOE Studios is working on a mobile chess game, with the mission to make the game fun and accessible for everyone. At the time of writing the article, ZOE Studios has yet to officially launch the website with a countdown for 40 days.
