  • Delta Force generates over $521 million net revenue, with $860 million+ gross on mobile.
  • The game had also surpassed 59 million downloads worldwide within its first year.
  • China dominates with 95% revenue share and 69% of total downloads followed by US and Japan.

Delta Force, the tactical FPS from Level Infinite, has generated over $521 million in net revenue on mobile since its release. After accounting for platform cuts from the App Store and Google Play, the game’s actual gross revenue is estimated to be well over $860 million.

Note

The China net revenue data only reflects iOS devices, as Android data was unavailable. As a result, the actual figures are likely higher, potentially even double the reported numbers.

According to AppMagic data, the game has also recorded more than 59 million downloads worldwide, making it one of the biggest mobile shooter launches over the past year.

If you are looking at the stats, a significant portion of Delta Force’s success comes from China. The region alone contributes around 95% of the total revenue, so you know which market the game has its blessings from.

In terms of downloads, China accounts for approximately 69% of total installs, followed by markets such as the United States, Japan, and Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, countries like the US, Japan, and South Korea contribute smaller shares on the revenue side.

From my observations, I also see that Delta Force has a 77% male and 23% female player base, which aligns with the typical audience distribution seen in large-scale tactical shooters, and it isn’t a surprise either.

Delta Force officially launched globally on April 22, 2025, but its development journey began earlier. Initially announced as Operation Delta in 2023, the game first debuted in China in September 2024, followed by an Android compatibility test in November and a closed beta test in February 2025 before its launch.

Positioned as an AAA tactical FPS, Delta Force brings 24v24 large-scale warfare, realistic visuals, and multiple gameplay modes to mobile. Players can choose from 10 elite operators, engage in large-scale Warfare battles, or take part in Operations mode, which combines PvE and PvP elements.

Tencent’s 2025 gaming performance helps put Delta Force’s success into perspective. In its 2025 financial results, the company reported RMB 751.8 billion (~$112.8 billion) in total revenue, with gaming continuing to be its primary driver.

Its domestic games segment alone brought in RMB 164.2 billion (~$24.6 billion), marking an 18% year-over-year increase, supported by major titles like Honor of Kings, Peacekeeper Elite, the Valorant franchise, and most notably, the very recent Delta Force.

So, driven largely by strong performance in China, Delta Force has established itself as a major player in the mobile shooter space, also called the “next big thing” in the shooter genre. However, given its broader potential, the game should be aiming to expand further in global markets and build a more balanced revenue share beyond China.
