In a significant boost for the Vietnamese mobile gaming scene, Hanoi-based Panthera Studio has raised US$1.5 million in seed funding. The round was led by T-Accelerate Capital, with participation from CyberAgent Capital.

The studio was founded in 2023 by Kien Vuong and focuses on mid-core mobile RPGs with an importance on long-term engagement. It has already released four titles and have crossed 7.5 million combined downloads.

Their flagship game Box Head, launched in January 2024, has surpassed 2.5 million downloads and demonstrated exceptionally strong ROAS and retention performance. The other three mobile games includes Soul Huntress: Offline Games, Elysia: The Astral Fall, and Monster Brawl: Robot Defender.

The new capital will fund game development, strengthen live operations, and support multiple RPG titles moving into global soft launch phases. it will also help them stay committed to quality without compromising the core values. As their official LinkedIn page puts it: “At Panthera, we chose a harder path from day one: to focus on quality, depth, and sustainable IP, and to build games we can be proud of for years — not months.”
