  • Roblox launches its first Global Parent Council with 80 parents.
  • Members represent 32 countries across multiple regions worldwide.
  • The council will advise on safety features, policies, and partnerships.

Roblox has officially launched its first-ever Global Parent Council, bringing parents directly into conversations around safety, policies, and platform improvements. Alongside this, the company has also introduced a new Parent Champions program to involve even more voices from its community.

After opening applications last year, Roblox selected 80 parents and caregivers from 32 countries to form the inaugural council. The idea is simple: instead of guessing what families want, Roblox wants to hear directly from them.

The council includes parents from: North America (Canada, Mexico, and 14 U.S. states), Europe (18 countries), Asia Pacific (8), and Latin America (3). Members come from diverse backgrounds, including psychology, education, law enforcement, digital well-being, gaming, and caregiving.

The council already held its first meeting earlier this month. Going forward, members will meet quarterly and also join monthly Q&A sessions focused on specific topics. Their role is to provide feedback on safety features, policies, and educational tools.

Because of the high number of strong applications, Roblox created a second initiative called Parent Champions. While not part of the main council, this group will receive regular updates and help provide feedback on various platform changes and topics.

Dr. Elizabeth Milovidov, Roblox Global Head of Parental Advocacy, shared: “I am inspired by the caliber of parents who stepped forward to partner with us. The launch of the Global Parent Council demonstrates our commitment to parental partnership, where we intend to listen and learn from these individual parents and caregivers. With their support, we will be able to better respond to parental challenges, and we look forward to co-creating a safe and relevant experience for families everywhere.”

Roblox says this move is part of its broader effort to promote a positive and healthy experience for children and teens. By bringing parents into structured discussions, the company aims to improve tools like parental controls, content moderation, and safety policies.
