  • Scopely acquires majority stake in Istanbul-based Loom Games.
  • The team is behind Pixel Flow!, which surpassed 10 million players within six months.
  • Founders CEO Kübra Gündoğan and CTO Emre Çelik remain in leadership roles.

Mobile gaming giant Scopely has acquired a majority stake in Istanbul-based studio Loom Games, the developer behind the fast-rising puzzle hit Pixel Flow!, in a deal that values the company at over $1 billion.

While exact financial terms were not disclosed, the acquisition follows a multi-year, performance-based structure, effectively pushing Loom Games into unicorn territory. The move makes it one of Türkiye’s latest billion-dollar gaming startups and highlights the country’s growing influence in the global mobile gaming scene.

Loom Games’ debut title, Pixel Flow!, is a hybrid-casual puzzle game built around simple tap controls and smart flow management. Players send color-matched pigs onto a conveyor belt to shoot balls at pixel cubes, clearing the board piece by piece while managing ammo limits and conveyor capacity.

The easy-to-learn mechanic, combined with light strategy through queue and timing management, gives it that quick “one more round” appeal.

This accessible yet sticky gameplay loop helped Pixel Flow! scale rapidly after its late 2025 launch, attracting over 10 million players in just six months, and reportedly broke into the U.S. monthly top-20 grossing charts.

Founded by CEO Kübra Gündoğan and CTO Emre Çelik, Loom Games was established only last year and operates with a lean team of around 20 employees in Istanbul. Earlier in 2025, the studio raised seed funding from Arcadia Gaming Partners and e2vc.

“‘Pixel Flow!’ is only a few months into its journey, yet it’s already reached millions of players and climbed the top-grossing charts at remarkable speed. The combination of creativity, willingness to iterate, and immediate traction in the mobile game space is extremely rare and impressive, and we believe this team has a bright future ahead,” said Tim O’Brien, Chief Revenue Officer and Board Member at Scopely.

“Our focus as a team has always been on developing games that deliver innovative and distinctive experiences, and as a result of this mindset, ‘Pixel Flow!’ was born,” said Kübra Gündoğan, co-founder and CEO of Loom Games. “To us, the game represents an entirely new form of entertainment for players, and the positive reception has been extremely rewarding.”

Following the acquisition, both founders will continue to lead the company from Türkiye, with Loom Games operating within Scopely’s ecosystem.
